Learn to drive in Stockport
Your driving lessons can start and finish from your home, college, or workplace (depending on where they are), and most pupils prefer their lessons to last 1.5 hours.
1 hour lessons can be a bit short to really practice things, and some people find 2 hour lessons a bit intense – but that’s completely up to you!
I also get my pupils to use the fantastic Total Drive app, which allows them to check on their own progress at any time, check what the plan is for their next lesson, and they even get a reminder about each lesson 24 hours in advance.

Supporting you through your driving Theory test
The best way to book your Theory Test is on-line at gov.uk. Some people study the Highway Code to practice for it, but most people prefer to download a Theory Test app which means they can do realistic mock tests, just like they’ll do at the Theory Test centre on the day of their test.
We can always set aside some time on your driving lessons if you need any help, or you can get in touch with me in-between your lessons, and I’ll be happy to help.

Automatic driving lessons FAQs
That all depends on your current driving ability. If however you’ve never driven before, I’ll drive us to a quiet area, then show you the main controls of the car. Once you’re comfortable with them we can have you driving with my help in the quiet area until you gradually become more confident.
Bank transfer is best for me please, although if you prefer to pay cash that’s fine too!
Of course! It’s your lesson, so it’s your choice. If you do bring someone, make sure they’ll actively help with your confidence and driving ability, to make sure you always get the best out of your lessons.
You certainly can! It must be in an insured, legally roadworthy vehicle, with a full driving licence holder supervising you, who is at least 21 and had their licence for at least 3 years. You’ll need L plates at the front and rear of your vehicle too.
Unfortunately not. If you pass your driving test in an electric car you will be able to drive automatic and electric cars, but you’d need to pass a manual test to drive a manual car.
